Every Siren Sounds Like Home

Resident Evil · Leon Kennedy

The story in the song

This original song is written as a tribute to Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil, following the part of him that never really left Raccoon City behind. Built as a Leon-focused GMV, it leans into the sirens, insomnia, survivor's guilt, and the fracture that still follows him long after the city fell.

This is not a victory song. It is the sound of a survivor who learned how to function, not how to heal.

Lyrics

No sleep, just rain on the glass No peace, just headlights that pass I know the hour when the walls grow thin When the old alarms start flooding in A blue flash, a red stain, a hallway door And I am twenty-one forevermore I can leave the street, I can cross the sea But the first dead city keeps finding me Silence never stays silent It only waits to scream Every siren sounds like home Every blue light stains me red Every quiet room goes feral When I try to rest my head I can leave the street behind me I can cross another sea But every siren sounds like home And home still sounds like Raccoon to me People see the calm and call it healing They never see the fracture underneath it How I count the exits in my sleep How every crowd still feels infected I know the smell of panic rain I know the face of sudden pity And every time the night gets teeth It drags me back into that city Maybe some ghosts fade with daylight Maybe some names lose their gravity Mine still wake up with the weather Mine still bloom in every emergency So if I freeze for half a heartbeat Before I do what must be done That is just the past reminding me Where every darker road began Every siren sounds like home Every blue light stains me red Every quiet room goes feral When I try to rest my head I can leave the street behind me I can cross another sea But every siren sounds like home And home still sounds like Raccoon to me
