The Sith Who Destroyed the Sith
Star Wars · Darth Bane
The story in the song
Darth Bane began as Dessel in the mines, learned pain before power, and turned the weakness of the old Sith into a doctrine that would outlive them. "The Sith Who Destroyed the Sith" is an original cinematic Star Wars Legends tribute song about Ruusan, the thought bomb, and the birth of the Rule of Two.

Lyrics
Before the title, before the war,
I was Dessel beneath the stone.
They called me a curse.
I made the curse my name.
Deep in the mines where the daylight never came,
Metal dust inside my lungs,
my father's fist, my mother's grave.
They bent my back beneath the weight;
they taught me pain was law,
But every blow woke something vast
and sleepless in my core.
At the table I was Dessel,
just another miner's son.
Then the cards ran hot, an officer bled,
and one more life was gone.
With Republic hounds behind me,
I disappeared in war.
The Sith gave me a battlefield;
the Force became my sword.
Pressure made the weapon.
Hatred made the edge.
I did not flee the darkness-
I taught the dark to bend.
I became the Bane,
Not the servant, not the chain.
I took the fear you fed me
And I forged it into rage.
Let the old world choke
On the weakness it became.
You called me your ruin-
I became the Bane.
On Korriban beneath the tombs,
I heard the masters preach.
They crowned each crawling acolyte
and made the title cheap.
I opened truths they feared to touch;
old empires spoke in flame.
I claimed the title they had buried.
I returned as Darth Bane.
I broke their champion, then their creed;
I saw what they ignored:
No Brotherhood can master night
when every coward is a lord.
They asked me for allegiance,
one more voice inside their choir.
I chose to be the silence
gathering beneath their fire.
Pressure made the weapon.
Hatred made the edge.
They built their age on weakness-
I came to be its end.
I became the Bane,
Not the servant, not the chain.
I took the fear you fed me
And I forged it into rage.
Let the old world choke
On the weakness it became.
You called me your ruin-
I became the Bane.
On Ruusan, the banners burned
beneath a bleeding sky.
Lord Kaan still called it victory
with ruin in his eyes.
I gave him one dark ritual-
a thought bomb for the damned.
He gathered every Sith as one,
Exactly as I planned.
Bind the thought.
Feed the wound.
Wake the hollow sun.
Jedi. Sith.
Flesh and spirit.
Every screaming soul as one.
Then silence covered Ruusan.
No banner, oath, or throne.
I did not win their dying war-
I made the dark my own.
I became the Bane,
Not the servant, not the chain.
I took the fear you fed me
And I forged it into rage.
Let the old age fall;
Let its ashes bear my name.
You called me your ruin-
I became the Bane.
I became the Bane.
In the ash, a child stood breathing,
With a storm no light could tame.
I left the graveyard with one shadow-
And the galaxy forgot my name.
