Sing Through the Fire
Dragon Age · Grey Wardens
The story in the song
Sing Through the Fire is an original Dragon Age: Origins tribute to the Grey Wardens and the defenders of Denerim, with Leliana's song carrying a final vow through fire, where victory belongs to many hands and still leaves families paying its price.
The final chorus turns the fall of the Archdemon into a victory shared by the whole city, then the last grave image returns that triumph to one family that paid for it.

Lyrics
Hear me, you who still draw breath.
The city burns. We answer death.
From valley stone and mountain deep,
From forest road where bowmen keep,
From tower flame, from field and wall,
You came because one land called all.
Only a few bear Warden names,
But every banner shares their aim.
Let every fear become a blade;
Let every debt to dawn be paid.
Shields close.
Eyes high.
The black wings cross the sky.
No crown, no clan, no blood alone -
Tonight we fight for every home.
Sing, Denerim - sing through the fire,
Lift every heart, lift every spear higher.
Ride with the Wardens where darkspawn break;
Strike for the living, for morning's sake.
Rise, rise - let the whole realm know:
We are the wall no Blight can overthrow.
Few are the Wardens, many the brave;
Forward together - this city we save.
I sang for masks in gilded halls;
Tonight I sing for broken walls.
The drum may fail, the horn may cease;
My voice will carry where steel speaks.
Arrow, hammer, sword and shield,
No hand stands nameless on this field.
The beast above may drown the sun -
Then hear our song and know we come.
Maker, count not the Wardens alone.
Count every hand that guards a home.
One breath. One line. One final vow -
Sing, Denerim - sing through the fire,
Lift every heart, lift every spear higher.
Ride with the Wardens where darkspawn break;
Strike for the living, for morning's sake.
Rise, rise - though the black sky fall,
We stand as one, or not at all.
Few are the Wardens, many the brave;
Forward together - this city we save.
Denerim -
Forward into dawn.
